It’s all up to you. At Lash Me NYC, we only use the highest quality faux lashes available on the market today. They range in thickness, curl shape, lash length, and durability. We are proud to say that we have some of the most talented technicians in New York City and beyond. They do some incredible work but don’t just take our word for it, take a look below at what our customers are saying.
There’s no universal answer when it comes to lash extensions — everyone’s beauty, eye shape, and preferences differ. Let’s take a closer look at the different styles of lash extensions in NYC, offered at Lash Me NYC to see which is the one for you!
Silk eyelash extensions appear shinier and stiffer than Cashmere Mink extensions. Additionally, Silk lashes are weightless and do not last as long as Mink lashes will.
Cashmere Mink lashes are the best of the mink eyelash extensions available. These lashes are very thin and almost weightless to them. Unlike Silk lash extensions, they are much softer to wear and last longer. The finish will also have a more matte appearance to it rather than a glossy one, providing a more elegant and natural lash look. Because of this, Lash Me NYC only offers the cashmere mink lashes.
With the “Classic” lash technique, we adhere a single faux lash to as many natural lashes as required to achieve the desired look. Whereas with the “Volume” lash technique, we adhere “4D” or “5D” fans to as many natural lashes as required to achieve the desired look. And finally, with the “Hybrid” lash technique, we adhere a combination of single faux lashes and volume fans to as many natural lashes as required to achieve the desired look.
Which one to pick is going to vary greatly depending on what look you’re trying to achieve and what looks best for your face. This is where our expert lash artist can help when you come in for your free consultation. But to give you a better sense before your visit, we put a little information about each type below.
First, let's address that Cashmere Mink is not from animals as some might think — they are made from high quality synthetic fibers called Polybutylene Terephthalate or PBT. Below are some of the many reasons why Cashmere is the premier mink and the only one we use at Lash Me NYC.
If you’ve gotten eyelash extensions before, you may already know what kind of package you want. However, if you’re new to extensions, you probably still have some questions. Here are some frequently asked questions about lashes and our lash extension services, specifically.
How long do eyelash extensions last?
Eyelash extensions typically last for the duration of your natural lash growth cycle (which is around six to eight weeks). As the lashes go through three phases of anagen (growth), catagen (transition), and telogen (resting), they’ll fall out at the end stage, and new lashes will come in hence why 2 or 3 weeks of touch-ups or refills are recommended to maintain the stunning extensions. You can help ensure they will last as long as possible by following proper after-care routines.
Do lash extensions damage natural lashes?
When applied correctly by an experienced and knowledgeable technician, this is not a concern. Our lash artists will know what the appropriate length and weight is to apply to ensure that your natural lashes remain healthy.
Our lash artists are well trained and experienced in the proper technique and have knowledge in what is best for your lash health all while achieving the look you’re looking for.
What products does Lash Me use throughout the lash extensions process?
At Lash Me, we are 100% transparent with what products and materials we apply to the eye area, and we only use the best for our clients.
The lash remover we use is cream based. The thick cream-like consistency is efficient to apply, non-irritable, and sits on the lashes nicely without sinking into the eyes or skin. The glue used is latex-free, cruelty free, formaldehyde-free, vegan, and has high retention. The spotlight to our glue is that it’s hypoallergenic, making it friendly for sensitive people.
Furthermore, we have humidifiers installed to make sure our environment is kept at the most optimal humidity range for the eyelash adhesive to dry at its optimum speed and allow the lashes to last to their potential. It’s all about the details that will make everything come together to ensure the service is worthwhile for our clients.
Can I wear eye makeup with my eyelash extensions?
You can most definitely wear make-up with your eyelash extensions. When selecting makeup products, it is always best to go with oil-free ones. However, remember to remove them with oil-free makeup remover and cleanse them using our Lash Me NYC foam cleanser.
What are lash extension refills?
During refills, we will remove some old lash extensions that are grown out, brittle, and are ready to come off. Your eyelash extension weakens over time due to oil or other impurities.
After about three weeks, the bond between the natural lash and extension starts to become unstable and will be ready to come off. Therefore, 2- and 3-week refills are highly recommended to maintain and ensure the retention and life of your lash extensions.
It is advantageous to your lashes when refills are done 2-3 weeks as the longer you wait will increase the time needed to clean up the older lashes. Just like our skin, scheduled routine, care, and cleanliness is necessary.
Do I have to clean my lash extensions?
It’s advised to clean your extensions once or twice a day, especially if you use makeup products because debris can build up around the lashes just like our skin. To clean them, simply apply a small amount of lash shampoo and with a cleaning brush and carefully cleanse the area. Then gently rinse your lashes and pat them dry with a towel and brush them thoroughly.
Tip: Sometimes in the mornings the lashes are all tangled and messy. Try washing your lashes with water in the morning and gently brushing the top side of the extensions with a finger placed beneath the lashes to help sort it out.
What's the difference between classic, hybrid, and volume lash extension sets?
Classic lashes are individually applied in a 1:1 ratio on the natural lash, perfect for those who are looking for a subtle boost to their look.
Hybrid lashes are a mixture of Classic and Volume lashes to create a fuller set for those with thinner natural lashes or for those wanting a slightly bolder look than the Classic set.
Volume lashes are lighter, fluffier and give the client a fuller look. Volume lashes are prefect for clients who don’t have a lot of lashes, have sparse lashes, bald spots or just want a more dramatic look without having to use a thicker lash.
How do I prepare for my lash extension appointment?

What is your cancellation policy?
Do you have a refund policy?
Lash Me NYC does not offer refunds. If there is an issue with the service, please contact us directly and we will do our best to rectify any issues and improve the experience for you.

Do you offer refills on eyelash extensions performed by other salons?
The nature of lash and application quality varies, and as such, Lash Me NYC cannot offer refills on eyelash extensions performed by other salons. Those lashes must be removed and a new set applied. Please note that eyelash removal will come at an additional fee of $35; however, we encourage customers from other salons to take advantage of our first-timer specials, which can help cover partial costs.
Before booking your refill appointment, please call our Brooklyn Heights location front desk at (347) 463-9306 or the Carroll Gardens location front desk at (347) 636-4215 to let us know if we’ll need to make time for eyelash extension removal so we can ensure your time slot is appropriate for the additional work required.
Thanks for your understanding!
Do you have a window policy regarding refills for extensions provided by Lash Me?
As of August 1, 2022, Lash Me does not offer the 2 leniency days for refills anymore.
For example, a 2-week refill can only be 14 days or less from your last appointment. Any day(s) over 14 will be considered a 3-week refill price. The same rule applies for 1 week or 3 week refills. One day over a 3-week refill would then be considered a full new set.

What is the microblading healing process after a touch up?
In the initial week of the healing process, you may experience redness, tenderness, and mild scabbing. As the second week approaches, the scabs or flakes will naturally peel off, possibly resulting in a lightening of the color. Subsequent weeks involve a gradual settling in, with the color becoming more pronounced. By the end of the fourth week, your brows should be fully healed and settled. If you have any concerns or notice any unusual symptoms, it is advisable to reach out to your technician or a healthcare professional.
Who’s not a candidate for microblading?
Some individuals might not be appropriate candidates for microblading due to various factors. Several of these include:
Microblading vs. Tattooing: what’s the difference?
There are a few key differences between microblading and traditional tattooing. First, microblading is much less invasive. The incisions made during a microblading procedure are only superficial, whereas those made during a tattooing procedure go much deeper into the skin. Second, the pigment used in microblading is semi-permanent, while the pigment used in tattooing is permanent. Finally, the results of microblading will appear more natural than the results of tattooing because the strokes made by the microblade mimic the look of real hair.
Are there any risks or side effects associated with microblading?
Like any cosmetic procedure, eyebrow microblading carries some risks. Possible side effects include temporary redness, swelling, itching, or scabbing in the treated area. Serious complications are rare but can include infection or an allergic reaction to the pigments used. Choosing a reputable and experienced artist to minimize these risks is important.
